adiuto is currently a private initiative. It is intended to become a non-profit limited company (gGmbH); until that company is registered, adiuto operates as a private undertaking with no separate legal personality.

Terms of use

Stand: August 2026

This is an English translation for convenience. The German version is authoritative to the extent permitted by law.

1. Scope and provider

These terms govern use of the adiuto platform between you and Simon Gabriel Neuffer (for adiuto), c/o POSTFLEX PFX-373-202, Emsdettener Straße 10, 48268 Greven, Germany, email: info@adiuto.org (“we”). Please do not send parcels to this address. By registering or using the platform, you accept these terms.

2. Service and adiuto's role

adiuto is a free matching platform for donations in kind, time and practical help. Initiatives publish needs and donors or volunteers can pledge contributions. We provide the technical infrastructure and do not become a party to an arrangement or donation between participants. There is no entitlement to a match or permanent availability.

Many listed initiatives are informal groups without separate legal personality. We do not guarantee identity, legal status or tax-recognised charitable status. Carry out your own checks before making a larger donation or longer commitment.

3. Adults only, registration and account

  • The platform is intended exclusively for adults; use and registration are permitted only from age 18.
  • Information must be truthful and kept current.
  • Keep credentials secret; as a rule, one account is permitted per person.
  • Tell us promptly if you suspect misuse of your account.
  • There is no entitlement to registration.

4. Pledges, handovers and receipts

A platform pledge supports organisational coordination. Participants must agree the handover, suitability of an item, insurance, supervision, safety and any required qualifications themselves. adiuto does not take payments or issue donation or tax receipts, and does not promise tax deductibility.

5. AI assistant

The assistant supports search, navigation and preparation of changes. Its responses are generated automatically, may be incomplete or wrong, and are not medical, legal, tax or other professional advice. Review suggestions before use and confirm displayed changes only when they match your intent. Do not enter sensitive data, secrets or emergency information. The privacy policy explains the processing in detail.

6. Duties and prohibited use

In particular, you must not

  • post unlawful, offensive, misleading or rights-infringing content,
  • offer dangerous, prohibited or unsuitable items or activities,
  • use the platform for advertising, spam or commercial matching without permission,
  • circumvent security, share access or impair operation with automated access,
  • enter or misuse another person's data without authority.

7. Initiatives

Initiative access is reserved for projects that

  • pursue a charitable, benevolent or religious purpose, whether or not formally recognised for tax,
  • respect humanitarian principles and relieve hardship or promote the public good,
  • do not seek commercial profit through platform use.

Extremist, anti-constitutional, discriminatory, violent, unlawful, military or paramilitary purposes are prohibited. Initiatives are responsible for their needs, locations, permissions, required information to data subjects and communications. We may request evidence, reject an application and pause or block access where there are justified concerns.

8. User-generated content

You are responsible for content you submit and confirm that you have the necessary rights. For as long as it is provided, you grant us a non-exclusive right to process it technically to operate, display, search and match through the platform. We may remove or block unlawful or non-compliant content. Report unlawful content, including its URL and reasons, to info@adiuto.org.

9. Availability and service changes

We aim for secure, reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, security measures, development or faults may change features temporarily or permanently. We will take confirmed workflows into account where reasonably possible.

10. Suspension, termination and account deletion

You can delete your account in account settings. Initiatives have safeguards for handover, leaving or archiving before deletion. We may remove content or suspend accounts for violations of these terms or law after notice; serious risks may require immediate suspension. Statutory rights remain.

11. Liability

We have unlimited liability for intent and gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and under mandatory law. For slight negligence affecting an essential contractual duty, liability is limited to typical foreseeable loss. Liability is otherwise excluded to the extent allowed by law. In particular, we are not responsible for other users' or initiatives' conduct, statements, items or services.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms prospectively for a valid reason, such as changes in law, security or functionality. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes and request renewed acceptance where required.

13. Law and jurisdiction

German law applies. Mandatory protections in the state of a consumer's habitual residence remain unaffected. Jurisdiction follows the statutory rules. If one provision is ineffective, the others remain effective.
