adiuto is a free, not-for-profit platform that helps initiatives switch from everyday aid work to urgent crisis response without adopting a new tool under pressure.
From everyday aid to urgent response
An initiative that already uses adiuto for everyday work — food distribution, clothing aid, volunteer shifts — can turn toward a crisis quickly, because the people, drop-off locations and coordination routines are already in place. Existing Tasks can be marked urgent, and new, time-critical needs can be published in minutes, with no new signups and nothing new to learn under pressure.
Why live need lists matter
When donations arrive faster than anyone can sort them, drop-off points get overwhelmed with items nobody asked for — which can block access and create safety risks. That is what happened at Berlin collection points including Hauptbahnhof, Südkreuz and the ZOB in spring 2022. A live, public need list lets donors see exactly what's needed, in what quantity, and where, before they set out — so what arrives is what's actually missing.
Priority Tasks and volunteer shifts
Tasks can be marked urgent so the most pressing needs stand out from routine ones. Time-critical volunteer work — staffing a collection point, translation, transport — is coordinated the same way as goods, and the same QR handover confirms who showed up and what got done.
Free of charge
adiuto is free for initiatives, donors and volunteers, with no fees — nothing to set up or pay for while you're focused on responding.
